How they compare
Candy AI is one of the most polished AI companion apps: you chat with a character you choose or design, who replies with text, voice messages and generated images. Premium runs from about $6 to $13 a month at the time of writing, plus tokens for images and extras.
Nomi's strength is memory: your companion keeps track of what you've told it over weeks and months. It doesn't filter adult chat, does voice calls, pictures and group chats, and one subscription (about $16 a month, or about $8 a month yearly) covers everything, with no tokens. Its images are less detailed than Candy's.
