Camsoda AI, from the live cam site CamSoda, gives free accounts unlimited text chat with any of its 200+ characters, which few AI girlfriend apps do. Premium adds voice replies, photo generation, custom characters and longer memory for $9.99 a month, or $4.99 a month on the yearly plan ($59.88), with monthly tokens included. Its own twist is the "live" shows, where you spend tokens to level up a character through a cam-style scene.
Candy AI is the more polished, more established app. Its free preview is limited, and premium ran about $6 to $13 a month when we checked, with tokens on top for images and video. In return you get more beyond chat: Candy Shorts episodes, Build Your Video, video-chat characters and a live cam section with real models.
On price, Camsoda AI is cheaper both ways: free text chat costs nothing, and its yearly plan undercuts Candy AI's premium. Candy AI is worth the extra if you want the smoothest app and the most features in one place.
