How it works

Rather than blank templates, Kupid's ready-made characters come with names, ages and backstories: a vineyard owner, a literature student, a Brooklyn DJ, a chef, a fitness coach and dozens more, all adults from 21 to 50, from many countries and backgrounds. You can browse by category (MILF, lingerie, girl next door, goth, nerd, cosplay and others) or build your own, shaping looks, personality and backstory with more than 40 options. Once you're chatting, she replies by text, sends photos, short videos and voice messages, and remembers your recent conversation.

What it costs

Kupid sells plans as one-off payments that don't renew, which is rare among AI companion apps. The free tier gives 15 messages to sample it. Pro and Ultra plans can be bought by the week, year or lifetime, and discounts are frequent: at the time of writing (October 2026), an autumn sale offered up to 75% off, with Ultra at $299 for 12 months (about $5.75 a week). Pro includes 25 photos, 8 videos and 12 minutes of voice messages a week, with memory of your last 30 messages; Ultra raises that to 75 photos, 25 videos, 35 minutes of voice and the last 100 messages, plus faster replies. You can pay by card, crypto or Alipay, with discreet billing.
