SakuraLive has run since 2009 and is the main cam site for Japanese models, with Japanese and Chinese versions alongside English. When we looked (October 2026), the first rows of online models were Japanese, while further down the page most performers were not, so filter or scroll with that in mind.
How it works
You don't need a subscription: you buy points and spend them per minute. Instant Japanese translation is built into the chat, which matters because many models write little English. You can chat with several models at once, switch your own camera on for two-way chat, send secret messages and control a model's toy. A "free chat" section lists models members can talk to at no charge. The site checks your age with your card.
What it costs
From the FAQ at the time of writing (October 2026): regular chat is 1.2 points a minute and private (exclusive) chat 2.2 points a minute; two-way video adds 0.5 points per 30 seconds; remote toy control is 1 point a minute and a secret message 1 point. New members can start with a $1 offer the site values at $20. Points last two years and aren't refundable.
Who it suits
SakuraLive is the place for live Japanese cam shows, especially if you value the translation. Shows are busiest in Japan's evening, which is morning in Europe and late night in the US. If you just want the cheapest rates or the biggest choice, our guide to the best cheap cam sites and the pay-as-you-go guide cover other options.
Good
- Japanese models, a rare specialty
- Pay as you go: points, no subscription; $1 starter offer
- Instant Japanese translation in chat
- Private, two-way and remote-toy options
Not so good
- Peak hours follow Japan's evening
- Rates are in points, so the dollar price isn't shown before you join
