Stripchat

Stripchat is the slicker-looking rival to Chaturbate, with a modern interface that works especially well on phones. Public shows are free to watch, and thousands of models are live at any time: about 8,800 when we last looked.

How it works

Rooms are split into girls, couples, guys and trans, and the filters go much further than most cam sites: by age group, ethnicity and region, and by what's on offer (cam-to-cam video calls, interactive toys, ticket shows, spying on privates), plus a "Magic Search" that narrows the list as you pick. Public shows run on tips, and models list what each tip amount gets.

VR cams

Stripchat's standout feature is VR: a dedicated set of rooms streamed for VR headsets (134 live when we looked), something few cam sites do well. If you own a Quest or similar headset, it's the main reason to choose Stripchat over its rivals.

What it costs

Watching public shows is free. Tokens cost roughly 8 to 11 cents each at the time of writing, the same range as Chaturbate, with bigger packs cheaper per token. Private shows and cam-to-cam are priced per minute by each model, and the site nudges you towards paid features more often than Chaturbate does.

Who it suits

Stripchat suits anyone who finds Chaturbate cluttered, phone users, and anyone who wants live VR. For the biggest free community, Chaturbate is still the default; for cheaper tokens, see BongaCams. Our guides to the best free cam sites and the best cam sites for private shows compare them all.
